As 2013 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the joys and triumphs of the year. To that end, we bring you the 2013 Blog Ring of Power Year in Review! This year I wrote and published a paranormal romance novella called “Touchstone of Love,” in the anthology, Gargoyle: Three Enchanting Romance Novels, and it’s received some nice 4- and 5-star reviews. Whew! Yeah, my first romance!
I also won third place for an excerpt of my young adult paranormal fantasy that was at once encouraging and pointed out all the work still left to do. I’m not sure when I’ll get back to this book since I prefer to put my focus on my paranormal romance novellas. I’m finishing up my one right now that will be out this December.
This year I also published Henrietta The Dragon Slayer—A Very Short Prequel, as a taster for introducing new people on the fantasy series, before I publish – finally – book 2 in The Five Kingdoms series, Henrietta and The Dragon Stone, due out in January 2014.
Also for 2014, I plan to write and publish three more romance novellas. Two are already dreamed up. Lastly, I plan to use National Novel Writing Month in 2014 to draft book 3 in my epic fantasy series.
