Official Author Photo
So, what do you think? Do I look like an author?
Part of the book publishing process is getting the dreaded official author photo/head shot. I'm actually pretty pleased with how mine turned out and owe a unpayable debt of gratiitude to the amazing talents of my hairdresser, who did my hair and make-up, and to the photographer--Amy Lundstrom.
This photo was second runner up--I'm using it for my twitter account because it was too good to not use.
This one was a contender, but ultimately my expression was considered too...imperious.
This one was also good but just didn't say "author"
This one says "I'm both happy and sad"
This one says "That latte better be hot or you'll be scrubbing toilets for a month!"
This was one of my favorites, but just isn't "Big Time Author" material
I liked this one, but my hair wasn't co-operating
This one is more "Project Runway" than "literary genius"
This one seemed to say "High School Year Book"
And, in case you were wondering, here's one that proves I can smile
Photographs courtesy of Amy Lundstrom, Amy Lundstrom Photography, serving all of New England. Amy was great to work with--she was patient, fun, and fatantastically easy to work with. She does portraits and events, and I would enthusiastically and unreservedly recommend her for all of your photography needs!

Great pictures! All of them. I like your smile.
You look fantabulous in all those pics if you ask me.
Definitely sassy and good photos. You DO look author-ly :)
BTW - Your book sounds interesting.
I do a lot of photography work with my wife. The difference between a good picture and a poor one is about 50 shots. Nice thing about digital, you can take a ton of pictures and then find that "one" out of the pile.
